About Us

Have you moved across the country and don’t have friends to ride with? Are you visiting a new city and are looking to find a group ride with some locals? Are you a ride organizer looking to find people to join your rides? New to the sport of cycling and are thinking that you’re ready to jump into the peloton? If so, you’ve come to the right place!

Wheelsuckr is intended to be a community of cyclists that grows and rides together. As we gain riders, it will be easier to find routes and rides to jump into, anywhere in the world. The goal is to make wheelsuckr the place to go to find both organized and impromptu group rides, any place you can pedal on two wheels.

Wheelsuckr Story

My name is Zak. When I first conceived of Wheelsuckr, I was an avid cyclist and mediocre bike racer. I lived in Los Angeles, which is where I first discovered the importance of group rides in making myself a better cyclist and also where I started road racing. I wanted to make group rides accessible and easy to find.

Not long after that initial thought, I moved with my family to the Pacific Northwest, north of Seattle. LA’s got big group rides almost every day of the week; where I was, I couldn’t find anything. I realized that I was going to have to do something about it.

Some time slipped by. Ok, a lot of time. I rode solo a lot. I moved again. This time closer to Seattle, where there are a lot more organized rides, but I have to comb through a bunch of different websites to find groups. I want to find everything in one place, so I’m building it.

What's Next

Let’s build this community together. If you haven’t signed up for the newsletter, go ahead and do that now. If you’re a ride organizer, publish your rides! All riders are encouraged to do the same. Also check out the database to find rides in your area or wherever you might be heading.

Ride heads up, stay sharp, and stay safe.
